Any good game has events! Whether they be pranks by faerie critters or some novice mage's spell gone wrong or monster attacks or world-shattering cataclysms, there are all kinds of events.
Thing is, I can't think of everything myself, and I don't wanna do things that you folks aren't interested in, so this is where you can drop me a suggestion of what kind of event should come up.
There can be mundane events, like a large-scale hunt, festival, people-planned events, spells with unfortunate but amusing outcomes. There can be dangerous but not catastrophic events, such as thieves raiding a city, large scale fae pranks, foul weather, etc. There can be major events, such as dragons attacking a city, an evil mage who needs to be stopped, wars between nations, natural disasters. And there can be plot events - if some storyline or another is coming up on a major plot point that will affect a large part of the community, drop me a note here, I'll help work things out.
This is what the NPCs on this journal are for. They'll help ICly alert characters to these events if they aren't hosted by one of the player characters.
